Houston, we have a tooth!

Yep, Teagan was chewing away on Matt's finger and he said "Ow". After it took two of us to pry her mouth open and push her tongue away, there it was. Her first little toofer popping through her gums. She has been drooling and chewing things for a month or two so it was hard to say when they would finally arrive, but the first one is here. And I am sure more are not far behind. It may be difficult to get a picture but as soon as I can I will post it.  I am going to miss T's gummy little grin, although her toothy little grin is bound to be just as cute.  I'm sure now, all she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth!  

The Bills Make Me Want To Shout (or is it pout???)

We left Teagan in good hands yesterday and went on a work outing with Matt's company to the Bills game.  It was cold, wet, and we missed our little T.  To add insult to injury the Bills lost miserably. And as if it couldn't get worse, traffic, weather and accidents made our trip home take HOURS!  We were on the bus at 4:15  and didn't get home until 9:45.  It was a long day. We did have fun but it was hard to be away from Teagan for so long!

Happy 6 Months Little Girl

I can't believe my baby is 6 months old!  Time goes by so fast.  It seems like just yesterday I was rushing to the hospital, breathing through contractions, and being told that my new little bundle of joy was a little girl.  I will never forget the shock and disbelief - "wait, did you say she...I had a girl," I asked, because in the chaos of the moment no one had announced it, and I was so overjoyed that my baby had arrived that I had forgotten to ask.  But my heart filled with excitement and my eyes filled with tears as it started to sink in that I was a proud Mama to a little baby girl.  A sweet, little, 7 lb 1 oz (half ounce actually, but they rounded up), 20" baby girl. Matt and I beamed with pride when the nurses asked "what's her name?" and we said "Teagan Avery George".

Fast forward 6 months.  Teagan has come so far...laughing, babbling, sitting up, eating solid food, learning and growing each and every day.  And we have come so far too..."veteran" parents now, we can change diapers in 30 seconds flat, and decode her cries and expressions. Although it's hard to imagine, she is loved even more than that wonderful day in May when we first laid eyes on her, first held her, and first opened our hearts to her.

Our little girl is growing up.  Her future holds so many great things...crawling, walking, talking, starting school, going to college, getting married, having babies of her own some day.  Not a day goes by that I am not grateful for my little girl, that I don't love her more than the day before. And not a day goes by that I don't have a moment of disbelief that I actually had a little girl, that I have a little girl.  A sweet, caring, loving, happy, baby girl, whom I love more than life itself.  Happy 6 Months Teagan!

Apparently I have an addiction - taking pictures of Teagan.  I think I am at about 5000 pictures...that's since she was born in May.  Today was no exception to the addiction.  Here are some more pictures T and I took in between the playing.  The first outfit was from her Great Aunt Pam, and the santa onesie was from Grammy Sue.

Holiday photo shoot part two!  We found this onesie at Marshalls and found it oh so fitting for our Little T.  Our cute, loving, wonderful doesn't-want-to-go-to-sleep-or-stay-asleep Little T.

Part one of our photo shoot on a snowy Saturday morning.  What's cuter than a naked baby?  A naked baby wearing a cute hat that matches her diaper!  Photo session part II pictures (see next post) are a little more festive but I thought some of these turned out cute. It's going to be hard to select just one picture for our Christmas cards.

Play Week

Teagan had lots of visitors (babysitters) to play with this week.  First Kristen on Monday morning, then Grammy G Mon-Thurs, and then Aunt Jenna Friday morning.  The week was capped off by spending Friday afternoon with Dad.  Now T can play with momma for the next week+ since I am on vacation until 12/1.  Then she will start her new daycare.  Here are a few pictures from the week.
